A Julia Roberts double bill begins at 8pm with Notting Hill and concludes with this true-life drama, for which she won an Oscar at the third time of trying.

She plays a single mother who, desperate for a job, persuades a law firm to take her on as a clerk.

After stumbling on some medical records, she begins her own investigation into allegations that a small town’s water supply has been contaminated by a major corporation. Watch out for the real Erin Brockovich, who has a cameo role as a waitress early in the movie.
