‘Cricket has race issues’

EVERY profession­al cricketer in England will be required to undergo anti-discrimina­tion education following a damning survey on racism in the game.

The Profession­al Cricketers’ Associatio­n and the ECB are working together on equality, diversity and inclusion after a game-wide survey of players was ignored by more than 400 of the 600 it was sent to.

“The game has an issue we need to address here,” said PCA chief executive Rob Lynch. “Education is the obvious first step in our approach.”
