This fruity, vibrant pinot noir from Marlborough is a glorious ruby red with plenty of flavours and aroma. Plums, herbs and just a hint of spice make for a smooth, appealing finish. Available from Waitrose.
Esk Valley Pinot Gris 2020 (£13.95, 13.5%) Apple, peach, citrus and honey flavours and aromas make this pinot gris from New Zealand’s picturesque Hawke’s Bay an appealing, moreish choice – full-bodied and rich in style – that is great with white meat and seafood.
