Jail for ex who sent pig’s head

A WOMAN who sent her ex-boyfriend a pig’s head during a stalking campaign was jailed yesterday.

Tia McBean became pregnant during a relationsh­ip with Oralton Robinson.

But after they split up McBean, 33, bombarded him and his long-term partner with more than 100 phone calls a day and sent takeaway pizzas to their home.

Woolwich Crown Court heard that on February 25 last year McBean, of New Cross, south London, sent a pig’s head to the restaurant run by Mr Robinson’s partner.

She sent Facebook messages to regular customers too, falsely claiming she had seen a man carrying out a sex act in a cook pot.

McBean, jailed for 15 months, admitted breach of a restrainin­g order, criminal damage, stalking and sending malicious communicat­ions.

JUST days since Sam Neill mischievou­sly revealed fellow Hollywood star Michael Fassbender had taken offence after discoverin­g a cockerel was named after him on his New Zealand farm, the actor now offers a heartening update.

Drawing attention to his beloved hen – cheekily named after KateWinsle­t, pictured – Sam, 73, enthuses: “Kate Winslet and her seven chicks are doing great.What a mother .... KateWinsle­t – living legend in the fowl yard.”

It remains unclear whether the feathered Fassbender’s the father...

APPEARING on Radio 4 with Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder to discuss the club’s struggles – they’re bottom of the Premier League – lifelong fan Sir Michael Palin reflects: “The downs are just part of it. That’s when you have to show yourself as a true supporter, when you continue to follow the club through the bad times and good times.”

Sheffield-born Palin, 77, adds to the manager: “Your team and whatever happens affects my emotional life more than anything else.” Wilder laughs: “I think it affects me a little bit more!”

ONLY recently introduced to a raft of film and radio archive material featuring late hell-raising bandmate Keith Moon, more than 40 years after the drummer’s death, The Who’s Pete Townshend acknowledg­es: “It turns out Keith had loads of stuff I didn’t even know about.”

Having now learned of Moon’s showbiz feud with a Hollywood A-lister, Pete, 75, adds: “When he was in California he did films with Ringo Starr...and he had an argument with Steve McQueen, who lived next door. Keith said he was the nastiest man he’d ever met.”

CONFIRMING a new instalment of the Paddington movie franchise is under way, a production spokesman says they’re “working very hard on film three with the utmost craft and care – as with films one and two.”

One big question remains for many fans: following his scene-stealing turn as Paddington’s dastardly theatrical foe Phoenix Buchanan, pictured, in the second film – he was last seen behind bars – will Hugh Grant be back?

The 60-year-old actor has indicated he’s up for reprising the popular comedic role, only to unhelpfull­y suggest: “Let’s do it. Paddington 3...it begins with the death of the bear.”
