MOONPIG had its best week yet in the run-up to Valentine’s Day and expects full-year revenues to double.
The online greetings card retailer forecasts sales for the 12 months to the end of April will be around £346million – twice that of 2019/20.
Moonpig said that the strong demand it has seen due to the pandemic is persisting. The company was giving its first trading update to the City since it floated on the London Stock Exchange earlier this month.
Apart from seeing more orders, Moonpig said that the average value has risen.
An increasing number of customers are buying gifts to be delivered alongside cards – as shops are closed during the lockdown.
