OLE HINTS AT NEW SWOOP FOR THE STAR HE MOLDED
OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER says he has not given up hope of bringing Norway superstar Erling Haaland to Old Trafford.
Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola has fired the starting gun on a scrap for Europe’s hottest striker this summer by revealing at least four English clubs are interested.
And despite United’s failure to land Haaland, right, when he swapped RB Salzburg for Borussia Dortmund in January last year, Solskjaer hinted he has not been put off.
“I can’t speak about Erling because he’s at Dortmund and I think it’s disrespectful to talk too much about it apart from that I know him and I speak to him,” said Solskjaer, who coached his countryman in the youth ranks at Molde.
“Who wasn’t interested in him a year ago? Everybody would say you’d take the
MAN UNITED V 8PM best players in the world and Erling is a top player. We wish him well and let’s see what life will bring.” Solskjaer’s side tonight look to complete the job they started last week in Turin with a 4-0 win against Real Sociedad.
Solskjaer will be without Edinson Cavani, Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek but Daniel James is fit and hoping to further burnish a return which has yielded five goals in his last eight games. “We’re so hungry to pick up silverware,” added Solskjaer.
