- By Mark Reynolds By Mark Jefferies and Kelly Allen

A POLICE officer won a claim for harassment after her boss told her she might feel better if she stopped drinking “gallons of Coke”.

A tribunal heard that Detective Constable Kerry Moth had been left feeling “humiliated” when she was told that she needed to “take more responsibility” over her diet.

Payout

Superior officer Detective Sergeant Daryl Marvelly added if colleagues saw she was making an effort to slim down they would have more respect for her.

An employment tribunal in Exeter heard that the officer, who joined the Devon and Cornwall Police in 2003, suffered from the painful condition fibromyalgia which led to many days off sick.

Employment judge Alastair Smail said Ms Moth had been harassed by DS Marvelly’s words.

A payout hearing will be scheduled later.

But Adrian Dunbar, Vicky McClure and Martin Compston fear being summoned and told they are out of the show.

Ahead of the new series starting this weekend they admitted they never feel safe as writer Jed Mercurio is known for big twists and killing key characters off.

Martin, 36, who plays Detective Sergeant Steve Arnott, said: “It would be interesting in this series, or next, if one of us goes.

“We haven’t dealt with this, we kinda now come as one package in our heads.

“With Jed he would never do it for the sake of doing it, it would be to further the story. But it would be interesting.

“It is hard to think how it’s going to work, knowing one of them wasn’t going to be there. So that would be came up.”

On a possible end to her character or even the series, Vicky, 37, added: “It would be a massive shame. You know nothing lasts forever. It will be a really sad time. It’s the longest-standing job that I’ve ever had. So, yeah, I’ll keep going until I’m told to not.” interesting
