He was in need of a sweet pick-me-up yesterday while recovering from an agonising condition which landed him in hospital.

On Thursday he went for an MRI scan to try and find out what was causing “pain like I’ve never experienced in my life”.And Ruth, 61, tried laughter as the best medicine, popping on bunny ears to serve her creation.

She posted a photo, telling followers:

“Happy Easter everyone! Do you like my meringues? Have a lovely day.”

The couple are due to present This Morning all week.

Eamonn, 61, tweeted: “Just to say folks like so many of you I’ve lived with variations of chronic pain for years. Don’t allow it to stop me working & next week I’d like to be a voice for many of you & discuss the subject on @thismorning.”
