Gardening: Alan Titchmarsh: Spring Into Summer. ITV, 8pm

In this new series based at Manor Farm in Hampshire, Alan (left) celebrates the great outdoors, offering tips on gardening and farming and getting celebrity guests involved in planting schemes and food tasting. Tonight, actress Alison Steadman discusses her continuing crusade to protect wildlife, carpenter Wayne Perrey looks at the best in garden seating, while super-cute newborn lambs and goats make their TV debuts.

Soap: Coronation Street. ITV, 7.30pm

Tyrone accuses Fiz (Jennie McAlpine, above) of shopping Alina to Immigratio­n. Meanwhile, one of Harvey’s dealers, Ned, turns up at Leanne’s flat and explains that he will be using the place to bag up drugs. However, when Leanne quizzes Ned about the drugs delivery, he becomes suspicious of her motives. Elsewhere, Faye and Craig’s plans for a romantic afternoon are ruined by Elaine.

Cookery: Jamie: Keep Cooking Family Meals. C4, 7.30pm

The enduring TV chef (left) shakes up our regular repertoire­s with simple, affordable and delicious meals using the type of ingredient­s lots of us buy week in, week out. Tonight Jamie cooks an ideal dish for those busy days when we want something tasty yet easy to prepare – a flavour-packed pepper, prawn and chorizo bake. Then, his adorable 10-year-old son Buddy shows us how to make his moreish chocolate-dipped strawberri­es and cherries, which are perfect for sharing with the family. And to top it all off, Jamie takes his Indian-inspired frittata to the next level with an unusual ingredient – it’s a guaranteed winner.

Documentar­y: 24 Hours in Police Custody. C4, 9pm

DCI Adam Gallop believes a man declared missing in 2015 has been murdered – but has so far been unable to locate his body, and the more time passes, the less chance there is of new witnesses or forensic evidence turning up. The police investigat­ion takes officers from an urgent excavation in the woods where the missing man is believed to have been shot to a journey across Europe in search of clues.

Film: Skyscraper. Film4, 9pm

In the small-screen premiere of this tense action thriller, a former hostage negotiator takes a job as a security expert at the world’s tallest building in Hong Kong. He finds himself framed for sabotage when the skyscraper bursts into flames. As he strives to clear his name, he must also fight his way back into the blazing tower to rescue his family, who are being held hostage by criminals 225 storeys up. Starring Dwayne Johnson and Neve Campbell (both right) with Chin Han.
