Test plan for returning staff

- By Alan Jones

A CAMPAIGN to get people back in their offices is being run by a company that tests employees for Covid at their workplace.

Cignpost Diagnostics is taking out full-page adverts in newspapers and at key London transport hubs.

It is also contacting business leaders in Edinburgh and Cardiff.

The campaign is designed to give companies information on how to get employees safely back to work.

Cignpost Diagnostics says detailed guidance has been published by the Government for weddings, funerals and pub openings but there has been little information for office-based organisations.

And although research has suggested that towns and cities have been busier in recent weeks, there is no clear evidence about how many people will return to the office.

Some have discovered they prefer working from home, which they did for the first time when the pandemic started.

Nick Markham, co-founder of

Cignpost Diagnostics, said: “With the successful vaccine rollout, many businesses are increasingly keen to bring their staff back to the office.

“Some need to return just to survive and others understand the impact that lockdown has had on the mental health of their staff.

“We want to clear up the confusion about the different tests available and how best to create a Covid-safe environment in the office.

“There has been little information from the Government for office-based organisations.”
