Drama: The Syndicate, BBC1, 9pm

The friends desperatel­y rush Roxy to hospital in episode four of Kay Mellor’s latest high-stakes story. They are horrified to discover that emergency medical treatment for Roxy is hugely expensive. Unless they can get the money to pay it off, she won’t be allowed to leave the country. In all the confusion, Keeley realises they have missed out on their kidnap plan. Time is running out for the syndicate – and they are still no closer to getting proof of Frank’s scam. Unknown to them, however, Frank (Neil Morrissey, far left, with Melissa, played by Geneviève Doang) is confronted by Mr Shriver, the head of Mercury Millions’ fraud team. Does he know about the stolen ticket?

Drama: Holby City, BBC1, 7.50pm

Louis feels trapped as Vicky’s blackmaili­ng escalates, and he wonders how much longer he can keep his double life a secret. Meanwhile, Max grows more determined to catch the hospital thief, and a desperate Dom (David Ames, left) campaigns for Ange to assist with his operation. Elsewhere, Kian leads Lucky on a merry dance across the hospital as he tries to dodge a drugs test. Co-starring Tyler Luke Cunningham and Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge.

Soap: Emmerdale, ITV, 7pm

Mandy goes cap-in-hand to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins, above left) seeking a bailout for Paul’s funeral, but Charity plays hardball and instead offers to buy the salon from her. Meanwhile, when Liv turns up at the Dingles’, Vinny tells her the notebook is an account of Paul’s winnings and losses. Liv thinks she’s persuaded Vinny to turn the page on Paul, but when she leaves he logs into a gambling website.

Film: Goodbye Christophe­r Robin, Film4, 6.50pm

Biopic of children’s author AA Milne, focusing on how his relationsh­ip with his son influenced the creation of the Winnie The Pooh stories. The books prove immensely popular in a nation recovering from the trauma of the First World War, but bring the youngster who inspired them uncomforta­bly into the public eye. Starring Margot Robbie, Domhnall Gleeson, Will Tilston (above) and Kelly Macdonald.

Soap: EastEnders, BBC1, 7.30pm

Isaac (Stevie Basaula, right) has a few questions about his family after learning some harsh facts about his brother, leading to a startling realisatio­n. But is he making a deadly error? Meanwhile, Bernie is surprised when Molly asks her out for a coffee. Elsewhere, an agitated Nancy tries desperatel­y to track down a missing delivery, leaving an anxious Linda and the Carters curious about her behaviour and a bewildered Mick wondering just what’s in the mystery parcel.
