Longest Line of questioning
AC-12 interrogation scene lasts 29 minutes
LINE Of Duty fans will be on the edge of their seats tomorrow – and will remain there for some time as the hit BBC1 show serves up its longest scene.
The Daily Express can reveal this week’s episode will see anti-corruption unit AC-12 involved in a tense interrogation scene – lasting a whopping 29 minutes.
Viewers have been waiting all week to discover if DI Kate Fleming, played by Vicky McClure, has survived the gun stand-off finale to last week’s show.
Tomorrow’s episode promises to be another dramatic rollercoaster.
A show source said: “Fans are used to AC-12 being thorough in their interviews in their search for bent coppers, but this scene is incredible and you can’t look away for a moment.
“Just when you think it could end there are more questions and more answers and more revelations.
Screamed
“Lots of the secrets are going to come out and there are more pieces of the puzzle in place.”
Last week, McClure’s character Fleming was lured to a lorry park by her boss Jo Davidson (Kelly Macdonald) and ended up in a stand-off with PC Ryan Pilkington (Gregory Piper).
As the pair screamed “drop the gun” at each other, the audience heard two shots – but it was unclear who had been hit.
Fans have been agonising over the possibility one of the star trio of Kate, DS Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) and Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) could die during the series.
Show creator Jed Mercurio has previously said nobody is safe. And the catchline for this series in the trailers was “Lies Cost Lives”.
