Butcher Nick is excited at the thought of meeting a love interest, even though he admits he doesn’t know how to speak to women. Meanwhile, self-made millionair­e Delia is looking for a man to build a future with. So could City trader Mark be the one who finally wins her heart? Elsewhere, Bengy has a trauma from his past he is reluctant to share. Luckily Lara (left) is a caring soul with a listening ear and is keen to help out. But will they hit it off or will true love’s dream burn out?

Tyrone and Tim bicker over the best place to hold Kevin’s stag do, while Sharon helps Sarah to throw Sam a decent birthday party. In the second episode, there’s more trouble for Tyrone after he makes it clear he’s expecting to take Alina with him to their wedding, leaving Kevin (Michael Le Vell, above left) and Abi (Sally Carman, above right) horrified about his plans, knowing how much they will upset Fiz.

8pm Film: The Drop, Film4, 9pm

Before his death in 2013, James Gandolfini had already laid the ghost of iconic TV Mob boss Tony Soprano to rest with his final film: this off-kilter gangster story. Tom Hardy stars as bartender Bob, a loner who works for his cousin Marv at his neighbourh­ood bar, where Marv is reduced to laundering money for his new bosses. A robbery then turns up the heat for the pair, as they are expected to find and replace the mobsters’ missing cash. Bob’s fellow churchgoer Detective Torres (John Ortiz, left with Hardy) shows up to investigat­e. What threatens to become another heistgone-wrong soon goes down another path, with Bob blundering into a love match with Nadia (Noomi Rapace).

The comedian follows the work of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, meeting staff involved in treating, training and rehoming animals. Paul (above) spends time with shih tzus from a puppy farm that need to learn all about domestic life, and an American bulldog who is struggling to cope without its owner. Later, he meets a stray who has lived at the home for two years.

Soap: Emmerdale, ITV, 7pm

Faith (Sally Dexter, right) comes up with a cunning plan when it comes to dealing with her hearse. Elsewhere, Nicola is left feeling shocked when she hears the devastatin­g news on Jimmy’s return that he is being charged with death by dangerous driving. Meanwhile, Dawn tries to end things amicably with Jamie, knowing it is all for the best, but to her dismay he suggests they should continue to see each other on the quiet. Finally, Kim decides to give Gabby a lesson in life.
