Money: Martin Lewis: Extreme Savers, ITV, 8pm

In the first of a new four-part series, financial expert Martin Lewis (left) meets supersaver­s who go to the extremes to save their pennies, including 73-year-old Eric who cleans and showers in rainwater and has managed to cut his water bills by thousands over the years. Lewis also meets a woman who swears by reusable toilet roll and makes her own food wraps, sanitary products and nappies. Plus, he catches up with a competitio­n addict who “won” her baby.

Film: American Made, Film4, 9pm

A pilot is recruited to act as a courier for the CIA in the 1980s, carrying out covert deliveries from the US to General Noriega’s regime in Panama. He exploits the opportunit­y to set up a profitable sideline traffickin­g drugs for a cartel. His double life takes a darker turn when he is ordered to supply weapons to rebel groups in Nicaragua. Fact-based comedy drama, starring Tom Cruise and Domhnall Gleeson (above).

Documentar­y: Davina McCall: Sex, Myths And The Menopause, C4, 9pm

Davina McCall was 44 when she began to experience hot flushes, depression and confusion – symptoms she hid until she discovered her body was starting the transition to menopause. Here she describes her own experience to bust the myths surroundin­g the menopause, tackling the mid-life taboos that can destroy women’s jobs and relationsh­ips, and exposing the lack of specialist education for GPs and the confusion that still exists around hormone replacemen­t therapy. Davina (left) speaks to a woman who believed her first hot flush was caused by a central heating boiler, so little did she know about menopause.

Soap: Coronation Street, ITV, 7.30pm

Michael (Ryan Russell, above left) and Grace finally bring baby Glory home from the hospital but proud grandfathe­r Ed (Trevor Michael Georges, above right) is proving to be a little overbearin­g. Ed takes the hint and agrees to visit Aggie to give the family some much-needed space. Elsewhere, Seb provides a desperate Abi with new evidence and Roy’s growing concern for Nina causes him to lash out at Evelyn.

Drama: Danny Boy, BBC2, 9pm

Toby Jones (right) and Anthony Boyle star in the factual drama telling the story of Lance Corporal Brian Wood’s journey from Military Cross winning hero to alleged killer, and the legal battle that ensued. Accused of war crimes in Iraq by determined human rights lawyer Phil Shiner, played by Jones, the film follows Brian as he finds himself caught on the fine line between war and unlawful killing, and how the fallout of the high profile trial impacted the lives of members of his family.
