Frank doesn’t react well when he learns that Mary is planning to sell their home, meaning he’ll finally have to move out. The second she leaves the house, he locks her out and claims ownership, barricading himself in, along with Aine, Doofus, Nicola and Stephane, and refusing to give up his territory. However, with Mary equally determined to get back in the property, the two face off in a battle of wills. Who will give up first? Will Frank have to leave home for good? Meanwhile, will Doofus finally get a girlfriend? And are Áine and PeterBrian really on the rocks? Two former barmen think their nifty premium whisky subscription business will put them in with a shot of a cash investment, while an entrepreneur from the Isle of Man demonstrates her innovative sandremoving powder, and the Dragons are intrigued by a quirky nose-mounted air filter. Frankie’s christening should be a time of celebration for Tracy and Nate (Amy Walsh and Jurell Carter, above) but tensions are boiling over between the Dingles and Eric after the brooch drama. Tracy reaches her limit, angry that the day has been ruined. Having had enough, she asks Eric to take her home. Liv continues to bury her head in the sand, and Nicola confides in Rodney about her troubles with Jimmy.

Vi tells Stuart she’s going to stay in Walford but he doesn’t seem pleased. Vi has already clashed with Phil and Kat, but whose business will she stick her nose into next? The doctor tells Bernadette she could face complications with a potential pregnancy, leaving Rainie (Tanya Franks, right) unsure whether to proceed with the surrogacy. Kheerat and Sharon go out for a drink, where they discuss their romantic pasts, only for Kheerat to put his foot in it, leaving Sharon hurt.
Film: War Of The Worlds, Film4, 9pm
Divorced father Ray’s rare weekend with his two estranged children descends into horror when alien war machines rise from beneath Earth and begin to systematically destroy every human in their path, leaving Ray with the risky task of getting his kids to safety. Steven Spielberg directs the sci-fi thriller starring Tim Robbins, Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning (all above), based on HG Wells’ classic novel.
