Sport: Match Of The Day Live: The FA Cup, BBC2, 7.30pm

Kicking off at 7.55pm, AFC Sudbury play Colchester United (the team’s Charlie Daniels, left). Tonight’s programme includes coverage of the first-round tie from Sudbury’s Mel Group Stadium, Suffolk. The home side, who play in Isthmian League Division One North beat in-form National League South side Dartford 3-1 in the fourth qualifying round to set up a clash with their local rivals who are just 15 miles down the road. Their League Two opponents haven’t managed to progress from the first round of the competitio­n since the 2015/16 season, when they made it to the fourth round before losing 4-1 to Tottenham Hotspur.

Drama: Dalgliesh, Channel 5, 9pm

In this second episode of the new series, a recent death on the hospital wards becomes of interest to Dalgliesh, as he investigat­es the behaviour of several of the nurses at Nightingal­e House. Masterson tells Dalgliesh that Dettinger recognised one of the senior nurses as Irmgard Grobel, a woman found guilty of murdering 122 Polish prisoners by lethal injection. Crime mystery, created by PD James, starring Bertie Carvel (left), Jeremy Irvine and Natasha Little.

Comedy: BBC New Comedy Awards, BBC1, 11.25pm

Six performers take to the stage in their bid to be crowned the BBC New Comedian of 2021. The Grand Final is a culminatio­n of six regional heats filmed in Croydon, Swansea, Wolverhamp­ton, Halifax, Dundee and Portrush. The judges, headed by comic Mawaan Rizwan (above, right), are likely to have a tough job picking a winner. Also featuring Ali Shahalom, Katy Wix and Kiri Pritchard-Mclean (all above).

Chat: The Graham Norton Show, BBC1, 10.35pm

Irrepressi­ble actress Miriam Margolyes talks to host Graham (above) about her autobiogra­phy This Much Is True. Comic actor Paul Rudd discusses his role in Ghostbuste­rs: Afterlife, while director Ron Howard talks about his Hollywood memoir The Boys. Oscarwinne­r Halle Berry reflects on new sports drama Bruised and Stephen Fry promotes his latest book Fry’s Ties. Plus, Gregory Porter performs Revival.

Film: Eye In The Sky, Film4, 7pm

This British war thriller stars The Queen’s Helen Mirren (right) and Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul. Colonel Katherine Powell (Mirren) is in charge of a top-secret operation to capture some high-ranking terrorists. But a sudden change in circumstan­ces forces Powell and her bosses to confront a moral and political dilemma. Combining tense action with an exploratio­n of the psychologi­cal demands of modern drone warfare, it also features the talented Alan Rickman.
