Having reached a dead end, DI Perez (Douglas Henshall, left) heads back to the incident board in a fresh search for clues and soon discovers that Carrie McAndrew, the chef on Eamon’s boat, was in debt to Niven Guthrie. Fiona Bedford reveals her husband is tracking her, so must have known about her affair with Galbraith. Armed with this informatio­n, Perez delves deeper into Bedford’s movements on the day of Galbraith’s death. Meanwhile, Donna asks Duncan for a favour.

Technology: The Gadget Show, C5, 7pm

Craig Charles, Jon Bentley, Georgie Barrat and Ortis Deley (all above) put the latest gadgets through their paces. This week, Jon is on a mission to find out if the iPad is still the best tablet on the market, and Jordan has a review of the latest console to hit the shelves, Nintendo’s Switch OLED. Elsewhere, Georgie and Ortis answer an age-old problem – are branded drills, saws and sanders better than unbranded versions?

Music: Rich Hall’s Countrier Than You, BBC4, 11pm

In this 90-minute special, American comedian, writer and musician Rich Hall (left) explores the early origins of country music in Nashville and Austin. Virginia-born Hall takes a trip to the rustic studios where this much-loved sound first came to life and discovers how the genre of music has reinvented itself over the years with influences from bluegrass, western swing and Americana. The awardwinni­ng comic also examines how the music industries differ between the two vibrant cities and how they generated their own distinct twist on the genre – such as cosmic country, redneck country and the outlaw artists of the 1970s.

Quiz: Who Wants To Be A Millionair­e? Celebrity Special, ITV, 9pm

Host Jeremy Clarkson (above) welcomes comedian Jimmy Carr, athlete Christine Ohuruogu and presenter Alex Beresford into the studio to answer up to 15 tricky questions that could land their chosen charities a huge lump sum of money. As ever, the contestant­s have lifelines including Ask The Host, Phone A Friend and 50-50 available to them if they get stuck.

Film: Star Trek: First Contact, Film4, 6.50pm

Directed by and starring Jonathan Frakes, this 1996 sci-fi adventure is the eighth movie in the Star Trek film series. During a Federation encounter with the Borg, a sphere escapes into the Earth’s past via a temporal vortex. Captain Jean-Luc Picard, played by the legendary Sir Patrick Stewart (right), and the crew of the Enterprise take up the challenge to pursue the Federation’s most fearsome enemy and attempt to stop them from changing the future.
