“This club means everything to me and together we’re a good match. I feel very, very proud.
“It’s been a ball, it’s been absolutely enjoyable from the first to the last minute, so I have to thank all the players.
“I really hope that I leave it in a better state than when I came.”
The Red Devils said in a statement: “Ole will always be a legend at United and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision.
“His place in the club’s history will always be secure.”
