SUCH MISOGYNISTIC BEHAVIOUR IS WHY HOLLYWOOD STARS PREFER GRAHAM TO JONATHAN

SO TWO friends (fellow newspaper columnists) and I went to Kenwood House in London’s Hampstead this week for a Christmas lights and laser event.

We bumped into lots of people – Birds Of A Feather star, the lovely Linda Robson, and the gorgeous Myleene Klass, whose beautiful children have THE best manners.

But then we saw Jonathan Ross – who has no manners at all. Standing with his wife and daughter and chewing a mouthful of food, he spat at us: “They don’t let dogs in here.”

Now what kind of man calls any woman a dog, let alone in front of his wife and daughter and at a family event packed with kids?

Let me tell you – the kind who’s a misogynist. And Ross has been accused of exactly that this week after interviewing (or should that be ignoring Sheridan Smith) on his lacklustre chat show. She’s alleged to have had a meltdown afterwards.

He’s the kind who, with his idiot mate Russell Brand, left a series of lewd, nasty messages on the then 78-year-old Andrew Sachs’ answerphone – the cruelty of which Sachs said haunted him for years.

He’s the kind who has a long history of being crude and offensive to his TV guests.

But maybe that misogyny and crudeness is why he’s where he’s at now. He’s gone from being one of TV’s biggest earning chat show hosts to a show that attracts C-listers and whose ratings plummet with every passing year. The Hollywood stars don’t take his calls any more and prefer Graham Norton. And his screenwriter wife is now the real talent in the family.

How the mighty fall. Or maybe some of them just get what they deserve!
