Martin Miller’s Gin 70cl (From £26, 40%)
A traditional high-end gin, Martin Miller’s is perfect with a slice and ice and some decent tonic water (Fever Tree is my go-to). Enjoy delicate flavours and subtle aromas of citrus and pine. Available from Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

Don’t be put off by the slightly larger-than-life flavours (and bottle), this is a fun drink – chilled over ice or with a mixer – inspired by those childhood rhubarb and custard sweets (R3 also makes Jaffa Cake and Lemon Sherbet flavours). Available from Amazon.
R3 Rhubarb & Custard Gin 50cl (£15, 20%) 3 MOM Gin 5cl (£11, 37.5% to 39.5%)
This gift set contains three 5cl bottles of Spanish-made gin in yellow (citrus flavours); black (berry-flavoured) and pink (strawberry-infused). They’re quite delicious served chilled and the gift pack is a nice touch for a Mother’s Day pressie. Available from Amazon. 4
One of the giants of the latest gin revolution (and the first copper pot distillery to open in London in nearly two centuries) Sipsmith has become a go-to brand for many juniper fans. This brims with vanillary zest and is delicious with tonic. Available from Majestic.
Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle Gin 70cl (£28.50, 40%) 5 Co-op Irresistible Passionfruit, Mango and Lime Flavoured Gin 50cl (£15, 40%)
All sorts of flavours here, perhaps a tad tropical for the traditional gin palate but nonetheless an engaging (and moreish) combination of off-beat gin tastes. Available from the Co-op.
6 Malfy Con Arancia Blood Orange Flavoured Gin 70cl (£28, 41%)
Another super-flavoured gin, this Italian creation bursts with juniper and blood oranges. It looks a little overpowering, but don’t be put off. A fun party drink and ideal over ice with tonic. Available from Sainsbury’s.
