Cookery: The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer, C4, 8pm

The much-loved show is back with plenty of meltdowns, spectacula­r showstoppe­rs and witty remarks from presenters Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas. In this evening’s episode, comic-turnedwell­ness guru Ruby Wax, singing coach Gareth Malone, TV regular Laura Whitmore (left) and social media star Yung Filly whip up fruit turnovers and mouth-watering chocolate fondants, before reliving their most embarrassi­ng moment in the shape of a meringue showstoppe­r.

Crime: Getting Away With Murder, C5, 10pm

Documentar­y looking at the murder investigat­ion into the 2001 death of Mary Gough, who was strangled to death by her husband, Colin Whelan, at their home in Dublin. The pair had only been married for six months when Whelan murdered his wife. This special follows the twists and turns of the police’s efforts to find out what happened to Mary, and how the investigat­ion eventually turned into an internatio­nal manhunt.

Nature: Ben Fogle: New Lives In The Wild, C5, 9pm

Adventurer, writer and broadcaste­r Ben Fogle (right) goes on a trip down memory lane when he revisits the Watkinson family, who gave up their successful careers as vets to live a greener existence on a rugged mountainsi­de on the Pembrokesh­ire coast. In tonight’s programme, Ben catches up with the family to learn how they have used their academic background­s to come up with ingenious ways to make their new life work for them. During his time with the Watkinsons, he also witnesses the extraordin­ary relationsh­ip their children are forging with the living world around them and the profound impact it has on their lives.

Film: The Martian, Film4, 6.10pm

Science-fiction drama based on the novel by Andy Weir, featuring Matt Damon (above). After a manned mission to Mars is hit by a ferocious storm, Mark Watney is left behind when his fellow crew members make their escape. Using his scientific knowledge, ingenuity and drawing on seemingly inexhausti­ble levels of resolve, Watney must search for a way to survive long enough on the Red Planet to be rescued.

Music: Concert For Ukraine, ITV, 8pm

A star-studded line-up of musicians, including Ed Sheeran (right) and Camila Cabello, perform their most popular hits, in aid of the DEC Ukraine Humanitari­an Appeal, in front of a live audience at Birmingham’s NEC Arena. All the sponsorshi­p and advertisin­g revenue generated from the broadcast will be donated to the DEC appeal. The broadcast will interspers­e the acts with short films recognisin­g the ongoing relief efforts and the plight faced by people affected by the war in Ukraine.
