So much love and respect for our great-grandpapa

- By Ciaran McGrath

IT was a day to be on their very best behaviour – as the youngest Royals paid their respects to their great-grandfather.

And their love and regard for Prince Philip shone through as they listened to tributes, smiling at shared memories with fellow family members.

It was a heartwarming sight that greeted the Queen as she entered Westminster Abbey with Prince Andrew – all of the family’s generations represented at the memorial for her beloved husband.

Prince George, eight, and Princess Charlotte, six, made a rare public appearance with parents William and Kate, with little brother Prince Louis, three, deemed still too young for the thanksgiving ceremony.

Charlotte, in a navy coat, smiled a little nervously as she arrived, exchanging looks with her mother, who wore a highnecked black dress with white polka dots and a widebrimmed hat.

But she and George were put at their ease by the Archbishop of Canterbury JustinWelby.

Zara and Mike Tindall were joined by their eldest daughter Mia, while Prince Edward and Sophie were accompanied by daughter Lady Louise and son James,Viscount Severn.

Princess Beatrice, Prince Andrew’s eldest daughter, attended with husband

Edoardo Mapelli

Mozzi and Eugenie was joined by husband Jack Brooksbank.

Also present were Peter Phillips with his children, Savannah, 11, and eight-yearold Isla.

Lady Sarah Chatto, 56, the daughter of Princess Margaret and Anthony Armstrong-Jones, who enjoyed an especially warm relationship with the Duke of Edinburgh, was another attendee, dressed in a navy blue dress, cardigan and string of pearls.

The Queen and Prince Philip’s full list of 12 greatgrandchildren, several of whom are still babies, is: Savannah, Isla, George, Mia, Charlotte, Louis, Lena Tindall, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, August Brooksbank, Lucas Tindall, Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor, and Sienna Mapelli Mozzi.
