Documentar­y: Arthur Lowe: A Life On The Box, BBC4, 8.30pm

Terry Wogan presents a tribute to actor Arthur Lowe (left), featuring a compilatio­n of classic clips from a acting career that spanned 36 years. Lowe’s TV work included long stints in the British sitcom Dad’s Army and Coronation Street. The programme also features contributi­ons from friends, colleagues and co-stars such as Clive Dunn,

Bill Pertwee, William Roache, David Croft, Jimmy Perry, Wendy Richard, Ian Lavender and Roy Hattersley.

Lisa McGee’s comedy returns for a third and final series, and it seems the gang’s troubles are only just beginning. Tomorrow is GCSE results day and confidence is at rock bottom. If things go badly, how will the girls face their mammies? Meanwhile, a new member of the Quinn household is causing chaos. Starring Louisa Harland, Tara-Lynne O’Neill, SaoirseMon­ica Jackson and Jamie Lee O’Donnell (all above).

Drama: Compulsion, C5, 9pm

After surviving a tragedy, paramedic Jenny struggles with PTSD and her life soon begins to spiral out of control when she falls into a gambling addiction. Concealing her suffering from husband Chris, best friend Alison and daughter Rosie, Jenny returns to work, but she is unable to deal with her crippling anxiety. During a public meltdown, a stranger comes to Jenny’s aid, Sasha, and the pair strike up a bond. Later on, Jenny makes a confession to Sasha about the extent of her gambling addiction. Sasha offers Jenny a way out but does she have her own agenda? First episode of the new four-part drama, featuring Four Lives star Ben Tavassoli, Leanne Best and Yennis Cheung (all left).

Kicking off at 7.55pm, Northern Ireland are up against England (the team’s Ella Toone, Millie Bright, Nikita Parris and Alessia Russo, above) in this Group D encounter at Windsor Park. England have dominated the group so far, winning their first six matches while scoring 53 goals without conceding. The hosts have their eyes on finishing second in the group above Austria, and will be looking for a competitiv­e display.

Celebrity: DNA Journey, ITV, 9pm

Actresses Rula Lenska (right) and Maureen Lipman, who first met on the set of Coronation Street, embark on a journey to discover more about their family histories and delve into the secrets of their past. In tonight’s show, the pair discover their families aren’t as different as they first thought and Maureen is blown away by her connection to Rula’s homeland. The duo find their unlikely friendship is not so surprising after all when they uncover details of their background­s.
