Some of the 31 Indian and Pakistani projects named in the Government Grants Statistics 2020 to 2021 document:
● SUPPORTING STRUCTURAL REFORM IN THE INDIAN POWER SECTOR (£619,867): The programme will “improve the efficiency, reliability and sustainability of electricity supply in India through technical expertise” and “provide world class expertise to support the market reforms”
● REVENUE MOBILISATION, INVESTMENT AND TRADE PROGRAMME (£2,645,385): This is aimed at transformation of the whole Pakistani economy by implementing aimed at improving for high and sustained growth
● WOMEN’S INCOME GROWTH AND SELF-RELIANCE PROGRAMME (WINGS) (£1,140,250): This scheme, centred on Pakistan’s Punjab province, is aimed at lifting the poorest women out of poverty
● CONSOLIDATING DEMOCRACY IN PAKISTAN (CDIP) PROGRAMME (£1,019,944): A project which sets out to transform Pakistan into “a democratic system in which government institutions are more capable, parliament is more accountable”
● PAKISTAN FINANCIAL INCLUSION PROGRAMME (FIP)
(£4,042,526): Aiming to offer banking and financial services for impoverished Pakistanis
● PAKISTAN NATIONAL CASH TRANSFERS PROGRAMME
(£3,233,000): A scheme aimed at cutting poverty and improving living standards and educational attainment in the poorest families by providing regular payments to the female head of household
● AAWAZ II - INCLUSION, ACCOUNTABILITY AND PREVENTING MODERN SLAVERY PROGRAMME (£3,020,272):
Promoting marginalised voices in Pakistani society, focusing on child labour, gender-based violence, child and force marriages, and intolerance against minorities
● DELIVERING ACCELERATED FAMILY PLANNING IN PAKISTAN (DAFPAK) (£11,848,484.83): Promote the use of condoms and other forms of contraception among Pakistanis
