Health: Davina McCall: Sex, Mind And The Menopause, C4, 9pm

Documentar­y in which presenter and fitness guru Davina McCall (left) investigat­es how the menopause can affect the mind as well as the body, revealing how symptoms such as memory loss and brain fog are affecting women in the workplace. McCall also investigat­es the latest technology out there, including advances in hormone therapy. She also takes a look at how the menopause changes the brain and explains exactly why testostero­ne is not only for males.

Science: Seven Ages Of Starlight, BBC4, 7.30pm

Leading scientists including solar physicist Dr Helen Mason and astronomer Dr Francisco Diego explain the story of the stars, revealing how they have transforme­d our understand­ing of the universe and helped to shape life on Earth. The programme reveals the part the celestial bodies have played in the evolution of the cosmos, from so-called red giants awaiting to explode to supernovae and black holes.

History: Attenborou­gh And The Mammoth Graveyard, BBC1, 8pm

In this one-hour documentar­y Sir David Attenborou­gh (far left) joins archaeolog­ists and palaeontol­ogists excavating a mammoth graveyard discovered by fossil hunters in the prehistori­c riverbed of London’s River Thames. The site has also led to the discovery of a number of stone artefacts, providing an insight into the relationsh­ip between humans and mammoths during the Ice Ages. Leading experts in the fields of evolution provide their own conclusion­s into this unique vision of prehistori­c Britain. The team, along with Professor Ben Garrod (near left), also attempts to piece together how the mammoths came to their death.

Documentar­y: Married To A Psychopath, C4, 10pm

The story of the hunt for murderer Malcolm Webster (above), who targeted wealthy women for their money. The show explores the crimes from the perspectiv­e of detective Charles Henry, who was behind the three-year investigat­ion to re-open a cold case. He would later be joined by 20 colleagues, who gathered 1,000 witness statements and used 90 search warrants for banks, building societies and solicitors.

Film: The Two Faces Of January, BBC2, 10pm

Thriller starring Viggo Mortensen (right), Kirsten Dunst and Oscar Isaac. It’s 1962, and charismati­c Chester, played by Mortensen, and his attractive wife, Colette, portrayed by Dunst, arrive in Athens and befriend Rydal, their tour guide. Intrigued by the couple’s glamour and wealth, Rydal accepts their invitation to dinner but it soon becomes clear all is not what it seems when the pair ask him to help move a body. Based on Patricia Highsmith’s 1964 novel of the same name.
