True crime: Maxine, C5, 9pm

Fact-based drama exploring the tumultuous relationsh­ip between Maxine Carr and Ian Huntley. The focus is Carr, who was convicted of conspiring with Huntley to pervert the course of justice by knowingly giving him a false alibi for the abduction and murders of Soham schoolgirl­s Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002. This three-parter looks at Carr’s role in lying for on-off boyfriend Huntley following the disappeara­nce and death of the 10-year-old girls, who were both in the same class where Carr worked as a teaching assistant. Tonight’s episode starts with Carr moving back to Soham for a fresh start. Starring Jemma Carlton (left) and Line Of Duty’s Scott Reid.

Factual: The Crash Detectives, BBC2, 7pm

Series that follows Gwent Police’s dedicated forensic collision investigat­ors, offering insight into the complex and often critical area of traffic policing. As the team from the Collision Investigat­ion Unit deal with yet more incidents on the roads, a pedestrian is seriously injured in a residentia­l street and police are suspicious of the teenage driver’s version of events. Elsewhere, a motorcycle crash outside a busy garden centre has an unexpected story.

Documentar­y: The Sky At Night, BBC4, 10pm

Dallas Campbell (above) chairs a special “Question Time” edition from De Montford University in Leicester, as part of the British Science Associatio­n’s annual science festival. Chris Lintott, Maggie Aderin-Pocock and Pete Lawrence are joined on stage by planetary scientist Dr Suzie Imber and astronomer Professor Nial Tanvir to answer questions from viewers – from the size of the universe to the possibilit­y of alien life.

Health: Katie Price: Trauma And Me, C4, 10pm

In this unflinchin­g documentar­y, the model and reality TV star (above) reflects on events that led up to her crashing her car in September 2021. She discusses what drove her to breaking point, speaking candidly about PTSD and explaining what steps she’s now taking to prevent a return to those bleak days. The star’s mum talks about her worries for Katie, and her stepdad voices his concern for the first time too.

Film: Inside Man, Great! Movies, 9pm

When police detective Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington, right) is called in as a hostage negotiator following a siege at a Manhattan bank, he thinks he’s dealing with a straightfo­rward crime scenario. However, the criminal ringleader scuppers all police attempts to take control of the situation and events are further complicate­d by the appearance of a shady power broker. Crime thriller from director Spike Lee, also starring Jodie Foster.
