PICKS OF THE DAY
Drama: Doc Martin, ITV, 9pm
After the last episode when Louisa’s ne’er-do-well father showed up unannounced, it was probably time for the series’ main couple to have a bit of much needed quality time together. However, things don’t go smoothly when Louisa and Dr Martin (Caroline Catz and Martin Clunes, left) head to London to present his research paper, leaving Janice looking after the children with a bit of input from Penhale. As to be expected, Martin has a few hiccups along the way, including an unexpected proposition or two. This is the sixth episode in the 10th and final series of the much-loved Cornwall-based drama, and fans still have two more visits to Portwenn to enjoy before saying goodbye for good.

Elsewhere, Jon Bentley (left) puts two pushchairs to the test, while resident money-saver Harry Wallop shows us how to save cash when purchasing train tickets.
Thriller: Nine Perfect Strangers, C4, 10pm
The drama starts to heat up as the mysterious Masha (Nicole Kidman, above) forces the group to live off the land on Earth Day, foraging food from the Tranquilium estate. As the retreat inhabitants are encouraged to open up to and bond with one another, the session ends up having the opposite effect, with tensions erupting as treatment intensifies and hunger pains set in, resulting in an edge-of-your-seat cliffhanger.
