Seagulls can ruffle Potter

- GIDEON BROOKS helps you beat the bookies this weekend

FOR 20 minutes, in the second half between Manchester City and Brighton at the Etihad last week, the visitors did not so much hold their own but pretty much controlled the game.

While they lost that encounter 3-1, that portion of play could just point to a couple of results this weekend.

The Seagulls have not yet taken off properly under new boss Roberto De Zerbi but they could achieve their best result under the Italian against former manager Graham Potter this afternoon.

Brighton have drawn four of their past five against Chelsea, have had a free week while their opponents have been in Austria and, perhaps most importantly, are at home.

They may not have enough for a win but a score draw priced up at 7-2 with bet365 looks within reach. The other line to take from that match last week is from City, who appear to have hit a flat patch since losing to Liverpool.

They were off their best against Dortmund this week despite getting the draw they needed to top their Champions League group and could be without their all-conquering striker Erling Haaland, who has a knock. With Leicester again well rested and showing signs of life after a poor start with a draw and two wins against Leeds and Wolves, they could be tough opposition at the King Power.

They look too big at 14-1 to win and both teams to score, and also at 9-1 for the win alone.
