Kate Moss stalker admits brutal slayings of parents
A STALKER who terrified Kate Moss by leaving champagne and a horror mask outside her home, has pleaded guilty to the brutal slaying of his parents.
William Warrington, 40, escaped from a mental health unit to savagely kill dad Clive, 67, and mum Valerie, 73.
The dad’s blood-soaked body was found by police in his flat in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, raising the alarm about his former wife Valerie.
Officers raced 15 miles to Bourton-onthe-Water where Mrs Warrington had been repeatedly stabbed and beaten.
The killer then put his mother’s corpse on the lawn before driving over it as he sped away to kill his father. In 2019 Warrington was given a restraining order after leaving unwanted items at the £2.5million Cotswolds home of model Ms Moss, 48. It caused her distress and he was banned from going near her home.
But in February Warrington was arrested on suspicion of GBH having attacked his housemate with a knife.
He was detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to the secure unit at Wotton Lawn Hospital, Gloucester.
But on March 1 he escaped, bought brandy and got a taxi to drop him five miles from his mum’s house. After slaying her he stole her car to drive to Cheltenham.
Neighbours were woken by Mr Warrington shouting “Help police” and “Why are you doing this” before his son was heard yelling: “I am going to enjoy this” before silence.
Warrington fled but was soon arrested. He had denied murder, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility at Bristol Crown Court.
He is now at Broadmoor Hospital, the high-security psychiatric facility. His brother and sister, in a statement read in court, said their parents’ deaths were “preventable”.
They said: “He poses a continued threat to the family.
“The idea he might one day be released is horrifying. We remain living in fear.”
