4 Alambrado Malbec Blanco (£11.99, 12%) It’s a shock to the system at first, but this fabulous white is made using malbec grapes (by removing skins and seeds). Fragrant and fruity with a bright citrusy finish. Go on, give it a go! Available from Laithwaites.

5 Domaine Bousquet 2021 Rosé (£11.99, 12.5%) This fabulous pale pink organic rosé is a pitchperfect blend of pinot gris, pinot noir, shiraz and viognier. On the dry side, but fabulously ripe and fresh with flavours of cherries and an orangey zest. Available from Vintage Roots.

6 DV Catena Tinto Historico Cabernet Franc, 2019 (£12, 13.5%) This rather nice cabernet franc comes from a familyrun producer with a long history and it shows in the drinking. Ripe red berries, black pepper and a smooth, long finish make this a lip-smackingly good wine. Available from Tesco.
