Back in 2002, the cold case team finally have a massive breakthrou­gh in the investigat­ion thanks to the use of groundbrea­king, familial DNA technology, which enables them to identify and locate the killer. Meanwhile in another flashback to Port Talbot in 1973, South Wales Police are still struggling to find their killer, and with the external pressure piling on from the press, the force have no choice but to put their trust in 60-year-old evidence. A portrait of life on board the ultra-modern super aircraft carrier, the HMS Queen Elizabeth (above), as she embarks on gruelling sea trials that will push her crew to breaking point as they navigate the intricacie­s of a ship that will change the way Britain goes to war. In this first episode of a three-part series, narrator Caroline Catz introduces us to the sailing crew as they begin to arrive at Rosyth dockyard in Scotland.

Arts: Katharine Hepburn: Call Me Kate, SkyArts, 8pm

Intimate profile of the late screen star Katharine Hepburn (right) capturing the indomitabl­e actress’s spirit and determinat­ion. The film combines archive and more recent footage to tell the story of a true Hollywood star whose progressiv­e and freespirit­ed nature helped to define her roles and win her four Academy Awards. Featuring hours of intimate audio tapes, along with previously unseen video and photograph­s, this is a feature-length treat for Hepburn fans.
