Cherry Healey and Gregg Wallace (right) return with a new series of the show that sheds light on how some of Britain’s biggest factories produce our favourite foods. First, they follow the production of breakfast cereal, from the delivery of corn from Argentina right to our bowls. It began on BBC2 back in 1998, and hopped channels before going off the air in 2004. Now, it’s back, with 40 teams – this week including Team Nuts (right) – sending their robots into battle against each other, as well as four fearsome house robots. Dara O Briain and Angela Scanlon are your hosts.

If you want nature... WILD ANIMAL REUNIONS Wednesday, 8pm, ITV

In this new, three-part series, people who look after animals for a living – including chimp expert Rebeca Atencia (right) – seek out their old charges in the wild to see if the bonds they forged are still strong, even though the creatures are back in their natural habitats.

If you want a campaign... HUGH’S WAR ON WASTE Thursday, 9pm, BBC1

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingst­all (right) returns to highlight the problem of waste. This time, he has new corporate targets in his sights: Amazon, for the amount of packaging it produces; and coffee shop giants Starbucks, Caffe Nero and Costa, for their lack of recycling.

If you want eccentrics... SHED OF THE YEAR Friday, 8pm, Ch4

Forget wooden huts at the end of the garden to store your lawn mower. Here, architect George Clarke meets the enthusiast­s who have turned their sheds into wonderful works of art. Among those competing for the title is Ilona’s Summerhous­e (right), a budget beauty in Lincolnshi­re. But will it be crowned winner?
