HONESTY’S NEVER THE BEST POLICY

-

Poor Ben. Alcoholic father, mother back from the dead, and now a dead boyfriend. They’ve barely had time to dress down the horses following Peggy’s OTT funeral; Paul will be lucky if he gets a couple of Chihuahuas pulling the hearse. As everyone comes to terms with this latest tragic turn of events, will Ben (pictured) tell the police what really hap- pened? When Phil learns the truth, it may not be what he wants to hear. But still, any excuse to open another bottle, or sleep with Shirley. That’s another of his regular ports in a storm. It’ll also doubtless provide an excuse to have yet another heart to heart with Ben, followed by another falling out (ever wish you’d just sold him at birth, Phil?). Who can Ben turn to? I sense another shipment of men arriving.

Lee and Mick have another chat, the latter opening up about his own relationship past (that could take not just all night, but all month). Will the pep talk force Lee to admit he slept with Abi? When the doctor tells Whitney some news that threatens to expose Lee’s secret, will he confess or cover his tracks? Yes, it’s that EastEnders Groundhog Day: the Troof. It never comes out after people have declared ‘No more secrets; no more lies.’ You’d think they’d have learnt by now.

At least the Sisters Grim have something to smile about when Ronnie sees Jack making a connection with Ricky, and Roxy shares more than drinks with Andy – but is he all he appears?
