GET TO KNOW… RICHARD HAWLEY

Going out or staying in? These days, staying in, often to learn lines. I enjoy box sets and finally watched all of The Sopranos. It’s difficult to beat.

Novels or non-fiction? I practise Buddhism, so I read a lot about that.

Pop music or classical? My favourite style is probably northern soul, but I have a wide taste in music.

Beer or wine? It’s hard to pick one favourite drink but I’d say Guinness. It’s good for you – isn’t it?

Lazy or active? I do yoga now and can finally touch my toes! I recently went walking in the Lake District too and realised what a treasure it is.

Dogs or cats? I’ve got two rescue lurchers, Alf and Ruby, at my family home in Brighton; up north a friend and I share another dog, Maisie, a huge Leonberger that takes me for a walk!
