Every day in Britain, we crunch our way through more than 1.5 million bowls of cornflakes. But have you ever wondered how breakfast cereal is manufactured on such a vast scale? In the first of a new series, Gregg Wallace and Cherry Healey (right) go behind the scenes of Europe’s largest cereal factory, near Manchester, to find out. Beginning with the Argentinian fields where the corn is grown, they chart the epic production line all the way through the factory process and finally, the massive haulage operation that delivers them around the UK every day.
