Spotless 7.15PM, ITV Jumping in muddy puddles, hurling paint around, splashing in the bath, flinging cake mix across the kitchen… Remember when nothing was more fun than making a mess? If you have any small people living in your home, they should enjoy this bonkers one-off show. Clad in white from top to toe, two pairs compete in various games in immaculate white rooms while being bombarded with brightly coloured paint, which they must strive to avoid in order to remain as pristine as possible. Yes, it’s daft – but sometimes, there’s nothing funnier than connecting with your inner child.
Proms Extra
7PM, BBC2 Katie Derham and guests look back at recent Albert Hall highlights, including last week’s cracking Prom of music by George and Ira Gershwin, performed by the John Wilson Orchestra. Plus, the genius of Rachmaninov, whose music featured in Prom 4 (see right), along with Proms 50, 51 and 53, later this week.
BBC Proms 2016
7.40PM, BBC2 Valery Gergiev conducts the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra in a Prom of popular classics, aired live on R3 in July. They start with Ravel’s mesmerising Bolero, before pianist Behzod Abduraimov makes light work of Rachmaninov’s sweeping Piano Concerto No 3, and they then move on to the suite from Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier.
