Fake Or Fortune? 9PM, BBC1

Postponed to make way for the Olympics, the fourth and final episode charts Philip Mould and Fiona Bruce’s (right) quest to establish the authenticity of not one, but three very different mystery portraits. Perhaps the most intriguing of the trio is a charming painting of a pensive-looking child wearing a red coat, which is believed by its owner to be attributable to 20th-century painter Willem de Kooning. If it is indeed an early figurative work by the celebrated abstract artist, it could be worth at least £50,000. Is it too good to be true?

Countryfile

5.30PM, BBC1 At the beginning of August, the first-ever Countryfile Live show took place in the glorious grounds of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire – there was even a Countryfile pub, the (John) Craven Arms. Here, Matt Baker presents highlights from this inaugural four-day event, which looks set to become a regular annual fixture.

Dragons’ Den

9PM, BBC2 This week’s episode sees a transatlantic duo presenting the Dragons with an invention they claim will revolutionise the take away drinks market. But is it time to wake up and smell the coffee, as Peter Jones suggests? Plus, a pair of note-perfect sisters pitch their children’s choir company, but do the numbers add up?

Olympics 2016: Closing Ceremony

11.25PM, BBC1 And so, as the 2016 Games come to an end, the curtain comes down on Brazil. Rio may not have presented the slickest Olympics the world has ever seen, but that has done little to detract from the event itself, which has proved to be just as entertaining and inspiring as ever. Roll on, Tokyo 2020.
