Sweet stuff With a fondness for dressing up and putting on plays, Lenora always knew she wanted to act. At 12, she took classes at a west London theatre company, and hasn’t looked back (her agent is the man who ran the place). She got her break at 19, in 2004, starring with Billie Piper in the TV movie Bella And

The Boys and playing a troubled teen in The Bill. She really made her mark a year later, though, as the eponymous Sugar in edgy Ch4 drama Sugar Rush. 50 shades of grey In 2009, she was asked to play a ghost in a new supernatur­al series – Being Human. Initially, she wasn’t impressed with the premise, but luckily, she took the role. It led to bigger things, and for two years, she dated co-star Aidan Turner. However, for someone who still loves dressing up, she says it was tough having to wear roughly the same grey outfit (the clothes her character died in) for four whole series.

Girls saw her training like a top athlete for the role of a worldclass sprinter. After that, she moved to the US – where she made two TV series, Back In The Game, which also starred James Caan, and A To Z. She is now back in the UK, playing DS Alisha Brooks in Suspects opposite former Being Human co-star Damien Molony. As for the future, Lenora says she would love to move behind the camera.
