George Clarke’s Amazing Builds By The Sea

8PM, CH4 Having announced the winner of Shed of the Year last week, architect George Clarke returns to look back on some of his favourite seaside builds. Among them are a Victorian bathing machine in Margate that’s been given a 21stcentur­y makeover, and a multifunct­ional beach hut, built for less than £400 in Bournemout­h. Plus, he’ll be reminiscin­g on the project he and craftsman William Hardie undertook, in which the pair took the humble beach hut where no one had taken it before – out to sea.

9PM, BBC2 Following Wednesday’s launch of the new series of Bake Off, Jo Brand returns to host a new run of the companion show, in which she and a panel of celebrity fans review all the latest goings-on. Tonight, they give their first impression­s of this year’s baking dozen and their efforts in the tent.
