Bean there BBC2’s Inside The Factory documentaries with Gregg Wallace (right) have been excellent. The episode showing how millions of cans of baked beans are produced was stunning, not least the size of the factory itself and the amazing speed in which all the complicated technical processes are completed. It was a revelation and I shall never again look at the delicious – but simple – snack of beans on toast in the same light!
