Almost immediatel­y after playing Tony Soprano’s brassy wife, Edie Falco got another starring role in a long-running TV series. As the title character in Nurse Jackie, Edie delivered a bleakly comic performanc­e as a nurse at a busy New York City hospital.

Adriana La Cerva

Drea de Matteo won an Emmy in 2004 for The Sopranos, and has since had a starring role in Friends spin-off Joey, alongside Matt LeBlanc. She also appeared in season six of Desperate Housewives.

Christophe­r Moltisanti

Michael Imperioli has since made appearance­s in Californic­ation and the US version of Life On Mars, and starred in Amazon’s recent Mad Dogs.

Tony Soprano

James Gandolfini tragically died in 2013, of a heart attack, aged 51. Forever remembered as the Soprano patriarch, Gandolfini has a street named after him in his home borough of Park Ridge, New Jersey.

Dr Jennifer Melfi

Lorraine Bracco played Tony’s shrink and, like 26 other actors on the show, including Imperioli, had previously appeared in Goodfellas, Martin Scorsese’s 1990 mob epic. The former fashion model has most recently been seen in the Sky Atlantic comedy Dice.
