6.50PM, BBC1 Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly (right) are back to present a shiny new series of celebritie­s and sequins. The contestant­s are a mixed bag, and include Olympians Claudia Fragapane and Greg Rutherford, BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty, the model Daisy Lowe and the singers Anastacia, Louise Redknapp and Will Young, while former Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls is sure to be this year’s Jeremy Vine. Tonight, the 15 celebrity contestant­s will discover which profession­al dancers they will be paired with as their journey towards the glitterbal­l trophy begins.

9.10PM, BBC1 Thankfully, there are no helicopter­s crashing through the roof this week, but there’s still plenty of drama at Holby as Elle (Jaye Griffiths) tries to rally the troops as the emergency cases keep on arriving. Alicia (Chelsea Halfpenny), meanwhile, discovers an uncomforta­ble truth, and has to make a difficult decision.

9.15PM, ITV Back for a new series comes the satirical puppet show, which may be no Spitting Image, but still has great fun hitting its targets. Up to 50 new faces will be getting the Newzoids treatment for series two, among them the US Presidenti­al candidate Donald Trump, and Prince George’s baby sister, Princess Charlotte.

9.45PM, ITV Richard and Karen Carpenter are the biggest-selling brother-and-sister act in music history, with a string of hits including Top Of The World and We’ve Only Just Begun. Here, Richard takes to the piano to look back at their career, and to reveal Britain’s favourite.
