Terry Wogan was at the helm of these broadcasts from London’s Hyde Park and parks across the UK for the past 19 years – and now, he’s gone. He’ll be fondly remembered in the course of this concert, which will include James Galway, who appeared in the very first Proms In The Park.

Clara was a child prodigy, with a great career in music ahead of her, and her father didn’t want her wasted on Schumann. In tonight’s show, Alex tells the story of the three-year legal battle that ended in Robert and Clara’s marriage.

Peter Shaffer’s play and film Amadeus added another whole layer of dramatic untruths to the Mozart myth. Tonight, John Suchet begins a music-filled, 15-part series based on his new book, Mozart: The Man Revealed.
