But when their patsy winds up dead, they go straight to the top of the suspect list. Wanted (2008) 18 10PM, E4 For his first US film, Timur Bekmambeto­v (Night Watch and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) comes out all guns blazing. Brit James McAvoy is the unlikely drone discoverin­g his destiny, while Angelina Jolie (right) is the spectacula­rly tattooed assassin recruiting him for a deadly mission. The Usual Suspects (1995) 18 12.05AM, SKY GREATS Clever, game-changing neo-noir, about a group of small-time criminals (Gabriel Byrne, Kevin Spacey, Benicio del Toro, Stephen Baldwin and Kevin Pollak) brought together for a police line-up. Bryan Singer, now mainly known for X-Men, is the brains behind it.

Ghosts Of Girlfriend­s Past

(2009) 12 12.55AM, CH4 Matthew McConaughe­y’s forte has never really been comedy, but this formulaic romcom is a bit of fun. In a modern twist on Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, he gets in a bit of a pickle at his brother’s wedding. Visited by the ghosts of the title (including Emma Stone), he realises that he shouldn’t have let one particular girlfriend get away...
