As Sky (on the channel usually known as Sky Greats) continues its Harry Potter marathon (from 6am), we look at some facts and figures relating to the blockbuster film franchise…

11 The age of Daniel Radcliffe when he was cast as the boy wizard (1). Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone – the first film – was released in 2001, when Daniel was 12; costars Emma Watson (Hermione) was 11 when it came out, and Rupert Grint (Ron) was 13.

£150,000 The amount Daniel reportedly earned for that first film. The series ended in

2011, with part two of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – for the two-part finale, Daniel made an astonishing £13 million per film.
