Limestone from Devon’s Beer Quarry Caves is found in Westminster Abbey, Windsor Castle and 24 cathedrals across the country, giving Beer village its nickname ‘the birthplace of cathedrals’. Over the 2,000 years it has been mined, 75 acres of stone have been carved out by hand.
