ANDY GETS HANDY WITH THE MATCHES

Pat Phelan – Corrie’s best baddie for years – tells Andy to burn down Kevin’s garage to destroy the laptop containing the incriminating CCTV footage. Andy starts the blaze (pictured, inset), but steals the laptop.

When Steph discovers Andy’s burnt clothes, he admits Phelan has been blackmailing him. Steph convinces Andy that to rid themselves of Phelan they must leave the country. She must be relieved that her super dull boyfriend has finally done something exciting.

Tyrone gets the wrong end of the stick and

thinks Kevin set the fire, so he accuses him as the police arrive. Kev (pictured, centre, with Tyrone) becomes prime suspect.

Before jetting off Andy confronts Phelan one last time, goading him about the laptop he has in his possession. Andy ends up whacking Phelan over the head… again. Does he finally do the job properly and see him off once and for all? And will Eileen be the latest Weatherfield bride to be jilted at the altar?

On a lighter note, Sally tells Tim that in order to improve their marriage they’ll only have sex after a deep and meaningful conversation. Celibacy looms.
