10 YEARS AGO – EMMERDALE Chas Dingle was arrested on suspicion of killing Tom King after police found what appeared to be the murder weapon with her fingerprints on it. Tom’s son Carl (pictured, with Chas) was besotted with her and helped her get off the charge.

15 YEARS AGO – CORRIE Having recently moved in with Gail Platt, Richard Hillman then asked her to marry him. Gail’s mother Audrey Roberts wasn’t happy, as she had found out that Richard’s company was losing money and suspected he was dodgy.

20 YEARS AGO – EASTENDERS Sanjay and Gita Kapoor were trying for another baby but Sanjay (Deepak Verma, pictured) was told he had a low sperm count. He was upset and felt it compromised his masculinity, but Gita told him it didn’t matter and that she’d always love him.
