Charlie Stemp is on Graham’s programme this morning to talk about playing Arthur Kipps in the determinedly cheerful show Half A Sixpence. It is, as he tells Graham, an all-singing, all-dancing role, and he’s loving every minute of it. Nicola Walker is also on the show to talk about ITV’s chilling Unforgotten, and Roger Allam has news of the latest Endeavour series. Music Matters 12.15PM, RADIO 3

Hamburg has a new concert hall called the Elbphilharmonie. It’s an odd building that sits on top of a warehouse like a vast crown from a Christmas cracker. It is, at 360ft, the tallest inhabited building in Hamburg, and has cost millions. Sara Mohr-Pietsch visits the Elbphilharmonie – completed in October 2016 – to find out whether it was worth all that money. April In Paris 2.30PM, RADIO 4

Hull, this year’s City of Culture, keeps popping up in the schedules this week. This drama, written by John Godber and set mainly in Hull, tells the story of a couple who’ve been married for 20 years. They don’t have much money, and there’s not much joy in their lives. Then, the wife wins a holiday for two, and they set off for Paris and the faint promise of romance. John and Jane Godber play the sniping husband and wife with understanding, humour and sympathy. Making The Grade 3.30PM, RADIO 4
