ARCHERS UPDATE

Those of us who have been invited to Jennifer’s party are in for a feast of embarrassment. Jennifer, in an attempt to give the event an air of brittle sophistication, has invited the Mayor of Felpersham along and, as you know, when he enters a room, it’s as if two other people have left. Lilian, with a clear run at Brian’s booze, will fill up any awkward silences – but will Jennifer be too distracted, keeping her sister in check, to ingratiate herself with ice-cool Miranda? While Jennifer squirms, the Grundys find they have a knack for making guests feel welcome – and filling their coffers – and Lynda’s takings dwindle. Meanwhile, Tom’s having second thoughts, Kirsty’s overdoing it, and David’s up to his elbows.
